Experience Summary
Presently engaged in development of tactical missile 6-DOFs for countermeasures effectiveness studies for IR ground-to-air missiles (Stinger Basic, SA-9, and SA-13). Past efforts at Lockheed include: development of a capacitance based probe system to determine the quality of aircraft fastener holes; development of an ultrasonic imaging system to allow the nondestructive internal inspection of aluminum and carbon composite aircraft structural components; development of an acoustic emission detection system to detect, locate the source, and determine the frequency of occurrence of aircraft structural micro-cracking; development of a microprocessor based communication network test bed for development of secure, survivable tactical communication network architectures; development of an IBM-PC based image processing workstation used to digitize video image data for target surveillance and acquisition applications; development of designs for covert communication systems and non-cooperative target recognition systems; and development of a baseline design for a system of chemical detectors to warn USAF bases of chemical attack. Thesis involved solutions for infinite systems of coupled linear ordinary differential equations satisfying prescribed initial conditions.
