Biographical Summary
He has over 15 years of experience at GTRI in software development and hardware development, and has led programs to develop models of cameras and human eye interaction with electronic imaging systems, a system to detect foreign objects in food, and an infrared vision system to monitor the temperature of products leaving commercial ovens. He has developed high power pulsed illumination systems for machine vision projects for highway crack detection and foreign objection detection in commercial food production. John has developed processing software and data collection systems for DIAL LIDAR, turbulence profiling LIDARs and several aerosol profiling LIDARS. He has also directed a research program on deep UV LED based illuminators.
