Speed Limits

The speed limit on campus streets is 20 mph, unless otherwise posted. Our officers patrol and monitor traffic on campus and will write state citations to drivers who do not honor the posted speeds and traffic laws. Please remember that pedestrian traffic is always a consideration on our campus and the low speed limits are in place for the protection of both drivers and pedestrians.

Parking

The closest visitor parking is in the lot on the north side of Baker. If that lot is full, there is public parking in the Number 4 Lot at the south end of State Street, after the 4-way stop. Please don't park in the south lot adjacent to Baker, as cars without Georgia Tech parking permits will be ticketed. If you're walking, you'll notice that Georgia Tech has placed large maps around the campus to help visitors find their way. You can locate Baker on the campus map by its identification number, Building 99. It lies in between the Centennial Research Building (on Dalney St.) and the new Marcus Nanotechnology Building (on State St.) in the North Campus.
